A fun day trip anytime of the year, but best fall through to Christmas. It can be a bit crowded with people and traffic at the peak in October, and less crowded in November & December. There are many farms to visit and most have vendors, bake shops, apple tasting and kid friendly activities including mazes, pumpkin patches, pony rides and more! Plan on getting in and out of the car frequently, or maybe just visiting a farm or two and enjoying the day staying put. Apple Hill is located just outside of Placerville off of Hwy 50.
