Extra sleep may be on your “to do” list, but it never seems to happen. Try to find a night that you can sneak to bed early. Your mind and body will thank you for it in the morning. We are parents too and know how hard it is to attempt an earlier bedtime. Try switching the family routine with your partner so they are in charge of family bedtime. If that is not an option, make bedtime early on one night for the whole family. Call it “quiet time” for children. They can read, draw, play with soft toys and the only stipulation is that they are tucked in bed 30 minutes and lights out at the normal bedtime.
